Opening Hours

Office open to the public only on a limited basis due to the pandemic:

Our office in Cologne-Ehrenfeld is only open to visitors on a limited basis due to the amended Corona Protection Ordinance of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (as of July 14, 2021).

Research in our archive and library is possible for two persons at the same time. Pre-registration is required via this form https://domid.org/en/research/archive/. Please do not show up until we have confirmed your appointment. In addition, a proof of immunity (vaccination or recovery) or a negative coronal test issued by an official testing center and not older than 24h must be shown (3G regulation). On site, the known hygiene rules apply. These include keeping your distance, washing and disinfecting your hands, and wearing a mask, and taking contact information.

Visits to the hallway exhibition and tours of our depots and magazines are not possible until January 2022.

We are still available by e-mail and telephone. Due to increased work in the home office, there may be a longer response time in individual cases. Thank you for your understanding.

We are open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m (please note our remark on the left). Our showcase exhibition “Facets” can be visited free of charge during this time but only with registration in advance . At the entrance you will receive a short introduction and a reader (only available in German) for accessing the exhibition independently.
