DOMiD receives funds from the federal government for "Haus der Einwanderungsgesellschaft"

At the request of DOMiD, the budget committee of the German Bundestag approved 22.13 million euros for a »Haus der Einwanderungsgesellschaft« (“House of the immigration society”). The Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia has also pledged its support. This paves the way for a central migration museum that will be constructed in Cologne.

Almost 30 years after the founders of DOMiD (at that time: DOMiT) published the vision of a migration museum, the central goal of the association is therefore about to be realized.
