NRW Integration Minister Paul visits DOMiD
This week, North Rhine-Westphalia's Integration Minister Josefine Paul visited us to find out about the current status of the "House of the Immigration Society". DOMiD has been institutionally funded by her ministry since 2009 and safeguards the cultural heritage of the migration society. This has laid the foundation for the collection of the future migration museum over the last few decades. Paul emphasized how important it is to create such a place and develop it in a participatory manner. "North Rhine-Westphalia is shaped by immigration like no other federal state. A migration museum is a good thing for our diverse society and will be a flagship for the cultural and museum landscape as well as for the culture of remembrance," said the Integration Minister.
We would like to thank her for the exchange and her support.
