The Kulturpolitische Gesellschaft e.V. is awarding the KULTURGESTALTEN cultural policy prize for the first time. The prize, which is sponsored by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, honors outstanding practical examples of forward-looking cultural policy in Germany.
The newly developed prize is intended to honor exemplary initiatives of forward-looking cultural policy practice.
From 117 entries, the jury shortlisted two projects from DOMiD.
- The mediation and outreach project "Meinwanderungsland".
- The digital educational offer / app "Virtual Migration Museum".
Already these nominations are a great honor and award, which shows us that with the longstanding development of the two projects we could not only try out innovative formats, but also create sustainable educational offers, empower people and bring them together. Our thanks go to everyone who has been involved in this. This gives us strength on our way to our biggest project, which we are currently planning: the first museum in Germany to focus on the immigration society of today, based on a collection on the history of migration in Germany that is unique in Germany.
Now it's time to keep our fingers crossed for the final decision!
